Visit the Market Bank Table

When you get to the farmers market, head to the Market Bank Table to exchange your EBT card for SNAP tokens, which are accepted by most vendors. Each token is worth $1, and can be used to buy any SNAP eligible items. Shopping for fresh produce has never been easier.

SFMNP and WIC-FMNP Vouchers The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program helps low-income seniors access locally grown fruits and vegetables, and supports our local farmers and farmers' markets. Eligible participants receive ten $5 coupons to use at participating farmers' markets and roadside stands. Coupons can be redeemed for Ohio-grown fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs and honey. Vouchers may be redeemed beginning June 1, 2021 and are valid through November 30, 2021. This program is administered by the local Area Agency on Aging and you can apply to receive these vouchers with their office here. Ohio WIC Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) provides nutritionally at-risk women and children with fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs from farmers’ markets and farmstands. This is accomplished through the issuance of four $5 coupons that eligible WIC participants may take to contracted Ohio farmers or markets to redeem for fresh, unprocessed fruits, vegetables and herbs. Participants receive supplementary nutrition education on the importance of these foods in their diets. Currently, only the highest risk participants of the WIC program, those being pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, some children and infants, receive benefits. Credit Cards/Gift Cards While many of our vendors individually accept credit cards, our Market Bank allows you the ability to shop the market universally, without cash. This also works as our gift card program, you can now purchase tokens to gift to any Farmers Market lover in your life while supporting local small businesses. If you are interested in using this as a holiday gift, please contact our market manager manager@sccommonground.org. HOW DOES IT WORK? Step 1. Visit the market Bank Table. Step 2. Use your credit card to purchase our Credit Tokens. Step 3. Shop away!
